ROMM

TODO: Whole page
Occasionally on my TrueNas server I go through the available apps to selfhost; and I found ROMM there, after hearing a friend talk about it. I got it linked to my games library, and I ended up playing all of Emerald Seaglass in my browser via Emulator.JS which is built into ROMM.

Basic features are great, but I wish there were more integrations available. I wasn't really able to get the custom app for MustardOS/???? working, I suspect it doesn't respect the Tailscale VPN I was trying to use.

I'd love if the various console homebrew communities embraced this software, making file transfer and save management so much easier. Some consoles it would make more sense

Honestly anything that you can reasonably connect to the internet but of note:

  • 3DS - While 3DS games can be somewhat large, could still be useful with Checkpoint and managing saves. Could also transfer GBA/SNES games.

  • Wii -

  • Vita - is a great GBA emulation machine. Let me manage my saves!

  • GameCube
